Christabel and the Jons

Christabel and the Jons is a southern swing band based in east Tennessee that blends familiar standards with modern vintage sounding originals. Their music is acoustic and colorful, a blend of Appalachian mountain music and vintage swing. The group saunters and sways together with ease. Lead singer Christa DeCicco steals hearts with her come-hither delivery and charismatic stage performance. Her songwriting is heartfelt and nostalgic, and her distinctive, sultry voice brings it all home. Old suitcases and dressy vintage costumes from the 1920s-1950s give the performance a torch singer, speakeasy feel.

Mad Tea Party

Mad Tea Party brews up rock 'n' roll, retro-pop and honky tonk to create a fresh and intoxicating sound. "It's B-52s meets Buddy Holly with a lot more thump." Ami Worthen and Jason Krekel serve up an exciting live show to music lovers thirsty for upbeat, original refreshment. Delicious harmonies glide over electrified ukulele, juke-joint guitar, scratchy fiddle and pulsing foot percussion. Catchy songs about love, life, sex and dancing are steeped in raw rockabilly with shreds of doo wop and devilish blues. Drink deep - Mad Tea Party concocts a musical recipe that will make you boogie.

Arum Rae with Dem Imonde

Coming off of a recent East coast tour with her newly formed ensemble, Arum Rae will return to Swainsboro for a highly anticipated performance featuring country and blues from her inaugural album, Too Young to Sing the Blues. With a pervious victory at Swainsboro's battle of the bands in May, Ms. Rae has proven herself as a local favorite. She will be joined by special guests, Dem Imonde. Though this trio of young ladies are yet to graduate high school, their talent truely exceeds their years.

Saturday, September 13th, 8pm at the Boneyard (free)

Redneck GReece

Redneck GReece learned his redneck ways while growing up in the North Georgia town of Ellijay. He experienced farm work, mountain religion, untaxed liquor, and music unlike that in big cities. Music with raw themes, heartfelt delivery, and a yearning for how it ought to be. "Swingin', Hillbilly, Honky Tonk", he calls it. Nashville and corporate radio won't touch it. Come see why.

Thursday, September 4th, 7pm at EAC Auditorium ($7 at door)

Garden of Stone

GOS is a melodic blend of metal and hardcore that truly breaks boundaries with their Christian message. The quartet is based out of Swainsboro, GA and aims to illustrate that "through Christ, anything can be overcome". Make no mistake however, GOS will rock you!

Celerity

Celerity began its trek into Punk and Alternative greatness in January 2005 and has been ravaging the underground rock scene ever since. Josh Roberts and the Hinges
Back by popular demand!

Josh Roberts and the Hinges is without a doubt one of the most talented and soulful bands currently touring the Southeast. The Hinges hail from Columbia, SC and will perform a blend of rock, country, and blues from their recent release “My War Cry is Amor”. Armed with the original grooves, sultry harmonies, and face melting jams, the Hinges are rising stars in Southern Rock.

Mississippi John Doude
Back by popular demand!

With a sound that’s as swampy as snake oil, and as gritty as the cloud of dust hanging over a dry dirt road, MJD’s sweaty blues riffs pull you in like quicksand, while his steady driving beats hypnotize like tribal war drums, creating a juke joint trance that’s infectiously nasty. From barn-burning country bluegrass to delta blues, MJD’s stripped down roots music takes you back to where American music began, capturing the soul of the blues, the heart of country, and the attitude of punk-rock along the way.

Saturday, July 12th, 8pm at the Boneyard (free)

American Gun

South Carolina's American Gun sifts Uncle Tupelo, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen through a filter of southern gothic story-telling and rock 'n' roll energy, coming out with a batch of pure, stripped-down twang 'n' roll. They claims to have drawn influences from country, folk and blues...What the bold claim doesn't fully explain is that the band has taken the genres out into the backyard, kicked them around in the dust until they're good and dirty, then shot a bolt of lightning through them. The quintet takes the archetypical arrangements—the roots rock that we're all so familiar with—and pistol-whips it into something more primitive, distilling the old, wild outlaw spirit into a powerful 'shine that turns countrified folk into rock stars.

The Train Wrecks

The Train Wrecks offer up raucous and rollicking Americana that’s as equally indebted to the traditionalist legacies of A.P. Carter and Johnny Cash as it is to the forward-thinking rock & roll of Wilco and Lucero. Reviewers have been “blown away” by the band’s live shows, and the Wrecks have been officially dubbed “The Hardest Gigging Band in Savannah”.

The Wrist Bandits

The Wrist Bandits are a raucous power punk trio from Athens, GA. The group is dedicated, to say the least, as they will play just about anywhere in true punk rock fashion. On April 19th they will visit Gallery RFD and Swainsboro for the first time and hopefully not the last. Energetic and entertaining, The Bandits are sure to bring a crowd and a good time.

Risen to Fall

RTF are 5 kids who share the same philosophy:"There's gotta be some variation!" You can tell when listening to them that they like to be different. With pulsing double bass, melodic guitar riffs, epic bass slides, hard hitting blast beats and gravity blasts, massive breakdowns, outstanding variation on vocals, and on-stage ferocity, RTF is a band you aren't going to want to miss at any venue.

Workhorses of the Entertainment / Recreational Industry

The Workhorses of the Entertainment / Recreational Industry
As unflashy and down-to-Earth as it gets, this Athens, GA trio is nonetheless a formidable force of singing and songwriting expertise. An informal mix of traditional folk, weepy country tunes, lonesome bluegrass, unplugged rock and roll and even some world music leanings, the Workhorses are a veritable roots-music grab bag complete with three-part harmonies.
